According to sources, Ufone is all set to launch its 4G/LTE services in Pakistan. Reports according to local news state that Ufone’s 4G services have already been made available for customers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
However, Ufone still hasn’t confirmed the cities where it is launching 4G. The Ufone 4G/LTE network will be introduced across the country in phases.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Ufone 4G/LTE is now available in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Although, major metropolitan cities such as Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Karachi are to get Ufone 4G/LTE in the next few weeks.
To check whether their SIMs are 4G compatible or not or Ufone 4G/LTE is available in their area or not, customers can dial *4#.
Regarding the performance of the existing spectrums such as 2G and 3G with the introduction of 4G, Ufone confidently reported to the local news that existing GSM customers and their experience won’t be impacted with this technology and they would fully comply with the Network QoS KPIs specified for these services.
