UCP Inaugurates Takhleeq Business Incubation Center

Tahkleeq Business Incubation Center is an initiative of University of Central Punjab launched on the 31st of August. The incubation center was inaugurated by Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah, Pro-Rector UCP.   

The center is to serve as hub for entrepreneurs to work their magic where they will be surrounded by smart, passionate people and with the best tools available to them. The entrepreneurs will be trained and exposed to deep mentor engagements by industry specialists and seasoned entrepreneurs, and will be able to seek angel investment.

Takhleeq already has its first cohort that comprises of: Agrobot, BioVictual, Germinox, Online Hostel, WHAS, ZAPS, Defender, Ground Hub, H2GO, CESTINO, TTS – Tracked, Traced and Secure, and FoodleDo. The incubation cycle at Takhleeq is to be six months long with a 2 cycles a year.

The entrepreneur in residence at the incubation is Khizr Imran Tajammul, Founder/CEO Jaan Pakistan, a social enterprise, researching and producing affordable energy solutions for low-income communities across Pakistan. Jaan Pakistan has won the Rwanga Social Startup Competition at the fifth One Young World summit last year and is currently working on introducing solar cookstoves to urban slums in Lahore.

The advisory board of Takhleeq consists of some of the biggest names in the industry such as Saif Akhtar CEO 10XC, Sayyed Ahmad Masud CEO Channel 7, Dr. Farrah Arif Founder Edtech Worx, Badar Khushnood Cofounder and Partner Bramerz, Saad Hamid CEO DEMO, and Humayun Haroon Cofounder Patari.  

The mentor network of Takhleeq is also very diverse and is made up of BelindaEsterhammer the founder and CEO of NextGen Network, Tughral A. T. Ali Head of Digital Financial Services for an American microfinance bank in Pakistan, Usman Javaid CEO Ricult and Wajahat Iqbal, a PMP® and CBAP® certified corporate professional.
