Euronet Pakistan, a leader in secure electronic financial transactions, has secured a major contract with United Bank Limited (UBL) to handle credit card processing and point-of-sale (POS) driving services.

This agreement signifies a significant shift towards a fully outsourced and managed service model for UBL’s credit card operations and POS terminals. Euronet will leverage its PCI-compliant infrastructure in Pakistan to offer UBL a comprehensive suite of services, including consolidated card management, advanced security features like card tokenization, and acquiring services.

Guaranteed service levels and processing uptime will empower UBL to streamline operations, optimize costs, and accelerate the rollout of innovative payment solutions for their customers.

“This partnership will deliver innovative and secure card and payment solutions to the Pakistani market,” said Mr. Muhammad Anas, Head of Consumer Banking at UBL. “We believe this collaboration will significantly enhance the user experience for our customers and contribute to financial development in the region.”

Euronet Pakistan CEO, Mr. Kashif Gaya, echoed the sentiment, expressing his excitement about the partnership. “We are committed to providing UBL and its customers with exceptional service and reliability,” he stated. “This collaboration signifies a major step towards revolutionizing Pakistan’s credit card and payment landscape.”

The signing ceremony included senior management from both organizations, solidifying a partnership poised to propel UBL’s digital banking initiatives and elevate the customer experience within the Pakistani market.
