The automobile industry is preparing to take advantage of the new Electric Vehicle (EV) policy, which will be implemented soon. Tesla Industries (not to be confused with the American electric car firm) recently presented Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi with its EVX Ultra-Fast Charger.

Tesla Industries shared a photo and video of the event yesterday, in which a company official gave the Foreign Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a tour of the fast charger. According to sources, Tesla Industries claims to be able to fully charge an electric vehicle in 30 minutes.

Not to be confused with Tesla Inc. of the USA, Tesla Industries is a Pakistani firm that is a large-scale manufacturer of solar panels, power regulation equipment, inverters, and other equipment of a similar nature.

In Islamabad, the company started manufacturing and installing electric vehicle chargers last month. On April 9, 2021, the first EV charger was dedicated by Mr. Sardar Yasir Ilyas, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On April 30, the company stated that their fast-charging system has successfully charged an Audi E-Tron SUV from 0 to 100% in 35 minutes. The vehicle was charged using a 120 kW EVX fast charger from Tesla Industry.

The company promises to be able to provide an infrastructural answer to Pakistan’s expanding EV and hybrid automotive sector by creating and implementing high-end fast-charging stations around the country. It goes on to add that the purpose is to encourage and enable people to switch to environmentally friendly means of transportation quickly and easily.
