ccording to reports, Ehsaas has created a cutting-edge IT policies vault for storing sensitive data and protecting its information assets.

The new platform was designed to be a fail-safe method of transmitting benefits to recipients while also providing comprehensive protection against cybercrime, misuse, and hacking.

In an official statement, Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, noted that the additional IT protections are necessary for Ehsaas to execute its services with greater integrity, openness, and accountability.

She noted that the new IT policies vault comes well equipped with a couple of textbook security features, such as the data availability management policy, change management process, data labelling procedure, data retention policy, software policy, and subsequent data backup procedures, in terms of data management.

Ehsaas, dubbed the government’s primary poverty-fighting effort, is still updating its data and related infrastructure. The programme has laid the groundwork for future social protection programmes, socioeconomic registries, and cash transfer programmes with the aforementioned IT policies vault.
