Thunder Energy Ltd, an AI-powered energy intelligence platform provider and a subsidiary of Brillanz Group, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia at MWC Barcelona 2025. This collaboration aims to transform energy management in the telecom sector by leveraging advanced AI and data analytics to optimize power consumption in passive telecom infrastructure. With a strong focus on the Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets, the partnership will introduce AI-driven solutions designed to enhance network efficiency and sustainability.

The partnership aligns with the growing need for energy-efficient solutions in telecom networks, where operators face increasing challenges related to energy consumption, operational costs, and carbon emissions. Thunder Energy’s AI-powered platform provides real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, autonomous optimization, and control of energy systems. Nokia, with its extensive industry reach and expertise, will support the deployment of these solutions, promoting energy efficiency and network reliability while helping telecom operators achieve their sustainability goals.

Under the MoU, Thunder Energy and Nokia will explore business opportunities in energy intelligence, focusing on monitoring, control, and management solutions for telecom networks. Nokia will utilize its strong market presence to facilitate Thunder Energy’s expansion, engaging with key stakeholders, including telecom operators, tower companies, regulatory bodies, and industry partners. Meanwhile, Thunder Energy will provide technical expertise, training, and support to ensure the seamless integration of its AI-powered platform within telecom operations.

During the signing ceremony at Mobile World Congress 2025, Bilal Qureshi, CEO of Brillanz Group, emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration. He stated that the partnership with Nokia reinforces Thunder Energy’s mission to drive AI-powered efficiency in telecom infrastructure, addressing a critical challenge for operators worldwide. By providing actionable insights and automation, the platform will significantly lower operational costs and reduce environmental impact. He expressed confidence that the partnership would accelerate the transition towards smarter and greener telecom networks.

Danial Mausoof, Mobile Networks Vice President of Technology, Solutions, and Services at Nokia in MEA, highlighted the strategic significance of the collaboration, stating that energy efficiency is a core component of Nokia’s strategy for sustainable networks. He noted that by partnering with Thunder Energy, Nokia aims to deliver AI-driven energy intelligence to telecom operators in high-growth markets, enabling them to optimize power consumption while meeting their sustainability commitments.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in the telecom industry’s energy transformation. As global telecom networks continue to expand, the demand for intelligent energy management solutions is at an all-time high. AI-powered platforms such as Thunder Energy’s offer a scalable and data-driven approach to reducing power consumption, lowering costs, and enhancing sustainability. By combining their expertise, Thunder Energy and Nokia are set to redefine how telecom operators manage energy, setting a new benchmark for efficiency, resilience, and environmental responsibility.
