Speakers from six different nations were invited to attend the conference, which had 47 experts presenting their research papers over the course of two days. A total of 177 research papers were submitted, with 23 of them being presented by students in the Huawei Poster Competition, with the winners and runners-up receiving awards from the firm.

Muhammad Usama Sardar, Sobia Ashraf, and Sadaf Iftikhar took first, second, and third place in the postgraduate category, respectively. In the undergraduate category, Usman Siddiqui took first place.

During the closing ceremony, Dr. Osman Hasan, Principle SEECS, stated, “This is the first flagship and international conference on digital future and transformational technologies.” The conference was centred on intelligent systems, and it brought together business and academia for an open debate about industrial needs and how academia might help.”

“NUST is doing a lot in terms of supporting the future of this country with digital transformative skills,” said Mr Shahzad Rasheed, CTO, Huawei Pakistan, who was invited as a main guest. These are the technologies of the future, and Huawei is working hard to ensure that we make the world a safer place and make people’s lives easier.

Due to the current covid-19 pandemic, there were a total of 9 lectures and 6 workshops held at the event, with over 800 people attending the conference online.

The conference included significant theoretical and practical contributions to all main domains of intelligence systems. The goal was to offer a forum for academic and industry researchers and practitioners to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field.
