1-watt Speaker Smart Phone Unveiled – LG G Pro 2

LG Electronics has unveiled the LG G Pro 2 for the Korean market.  The LG G Pro 2 has a 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display. LG says, with a 3.3mm, the G Pro 2 offers a screen-to-frame ratio of 77.2 per cent. The phone also includes the Knock Code unlocking feature and claims the sound on the G Pro 2 is 30 % louder than the G Pro and its 1-watt speaker system is a first for smart phones and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

 

Mobilink and ITP Raise Road Awareness through Paint

Mobilink Road Safety Painting Competition organized to celebrate ITP’s 8th More than 1000 children. Mobilink Foundation in collaboration with ITP organized the ‘Mobilink Road Safety Painting Competition’ at the Open Air Theater Shakarparian, Islamabad. The painting competition aims to increase awareness about road safety and promote a traffic rules aware generation.

 

World’s Fastest Autofocus: Sony’s New Mirrorless a6000

Sony has announced the new mirrorless a6000.  It comprises of a 24MP APS-C sized sensor (up from 16MP on the NEX-6) and brand new Hybrid AF system. The faster phase-detect points now cover 92% of the frame and provide “the world’s fastest autofocus.” It also has an OLED Tru-Finder of 1.4M dots resolution, which turns on automatically thanks to a proximity sensor. 

Zouhair’s Bids Wateen Farewell

Zouhair A. Khaliq has stepped down as Board Member of Wateen Telecom.  Naeem Zamindar was appointed CEO at the same time and together this team brought in key new members to strengthen the management team and address the challenges at Wateen. Zouhair led the restructuring effort as Chairman of the Board Executive Committee.
