PTA Suspends and Restores PTCL’s WLL / EVO License

PTA suspended PTCL’s WLL licenses in five regions for using extra radio frequency spectrum than it was allocated. PTA suspended the licenses for not complying with authority’s earlier directive. However, within hours, PTCL paid the PKR 82.50 million fine and the regulator restored the WLL licences, ProPakistani reports

Microsoft Corp said it would buy cloud-based software maker Parature Inc, which helps businesses manage help desks and provide other customer support services. The acquisition will boost Microsoft’s Dynamics unit, Mattress Firm Holding Corp, Pandora Media Inc and Nissan Motor Co as customers.

LinkedIn Sues Hackers

LinkedIn sues hackers over fake profiles. It said hackers using automated software created thousands of fake member accounts and copied data from actual member profile pages. “It undermines the integrity and effectiveness of LinkedIn’s professional network by polluting it with thousands of fake member profiles,” Jonathan Blavin, a lawyer for the company, said in the complaint.
