Telenor Velocity, the digital startup accelerator powered by Telenor Pakistan, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FitHer, a women-led health and wellness startup and a graduate of NIC Islamabad. The collaboration marks a significant step toward advancing digital health solutions specifically designed for women in Pakistan.

Through this partnership, FitHer will become part of the Telenor Velocity acceleration program, gaining access to expert support aimed at strengthening its app design, refining its business strategy, and building leadership capacity. The initiative will also prepare FitHer for integration with Telenor Pakistan’s digital health platform, creating an opportunity to align both organizations’ missions of promoting accessible, technology-driven wellness solutions for women.

The signing ceremony took place at Telenor Pakistan’s headquarters in Islamabad. Key attendees included Khurrum Ashfaque, CEO Telenor Pakistan; Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan; Dr. Shaista Khalid, CEO FitHer; and senior leadership from both organizations. The event underscored the shared commitment to fostering a supportive digital ecosystem for women’s health and well-being.

Speaking at the ceremony, Areej Khan highlighted the importance of the partnership. She said that Telenor Pakistan is committed to leveraging technology for social impact, and women’s health remains a key priority. According to her, the collaboration with FitHer is not merely about accelerating a startup but about backing a mission-driven initiative that can transform women’s wellness in the country. She emphasized that Telenor Velocity aims to cultivate inclusivity, sustainable impact, and innovation in sectors that deeply affect communities.

Dr. Shaista Khalid, CEO of FitHer, explained that the platform was built with the vision of supporting women throughout different stages of life, not just as a fitness application but as a comprehensive digital health companion. She noted that the partnership with Telenor Velocity would help scale the startup’s reach and allow it to deliver tailored wellness solutions to a wider audience of women across Pakistan.

The agreement represents more than an institutional collaboration; it symbolizes the strengthening of an ecosystem where women-led startups are given the resources, mentorship, and platforms they need to thrive. With FitHer joining the Velocity program, the initiative will focus on improving healthcare accessibility and enhancing digital wellness services, areas often underserved for women in the region.

For Telenor Velocity, the partnership aligns with its broader vision of empowering entrepreneurs who address critical societal needs. Over the years, the accelerator has supported numerous startups across diverse sectors, with a growing emphasis on healthtech and inclusivity. FitHer’s inclusion is viewed as a milestone in ensuring that women’s health receives dedicated technological support and innovation.

The collaboration further highlights the role of NIC Islamabad in nurturing impactful startups. As a graduate of the center, FitHer stands as an example of how local incubators can prepare mission-driven businesses for national-level partnerships and opportunities.

Together, Telenor Velocity and FitHer plan to push the boundaries of digital health for women, combining expertise, technology, and vision to build solutions that improve well-being and create lasting impact in communities throughout Pakistan.
