Tecno has expanded the capabilities of its EllaClaw mobile AI agent, introducing a broader range of tools designed to improve smartphone performance, automate tasks across applications, and help users manage battery life and mobile data usage more effectively. The cloud based AI assistant now supports cross app automation and advanced system management functions, allowing it to perform tasks that extend beyond traditional voice assistant capabilities. While Tecno has revealed several new features, EllaClaw remains an experimental project currently undergoing internal testing and closed beta development. The company has not announced a public release date or confirmed which smartphone models will support the upgraded AI platform.

The latest version of EllaClaw includes more than 40 Smart Skills focused on device optimization and everyday smartphone management. Among the new additions is Smart CleanUp Boost, which helps address performance slowdowns by freeing RAM and CPU resources to improve responsiveness. Smart Power Drain Check identifies applications that consume unusually high amounts of battery power, enabling users to take action and potentially extend battery life. Tecno has also introduced Instant Cool-down Relief, a feature designed to reduce device strain by managing background activity during demanding tasks. Another key capability is Smart Data Guardian, which tracks mobile data usage and compares it against a user’s normal consumption patterns. The feature is aimed at helping users avoid unexpected data usage, particularly in markets where mobile data remains expensive or limited. To ensure users remain in control, EllaClaw follows a confirmation first approach and requests approval before carrying out significant system changes or adjustments.

In addition to performance management, EllaClaw incorporates persistent memory features that allow it to learn user preferences and assist with recurring activities. The AI agent can generate personalized morning briefings by combining information from calendars, travel schedules, weather forecasts, and selected news updates. Tecno has also equipped the platform with a Trip Prep Assistant capable of organizing transportation plans, setting departure reminders, and preparing schedules before travel. The assistant can monitor changing weather conditions and issue reminders when users may need to contact family members or partners. These capabilities are intended to make interactions more personalized while helping users manage routine activities through natural language requests.

Tecno has further expanded EllaClaw through cross app automation capabilities that allow it to interact with supported third party applications related to shopping, transport, food delivery, and smart home management. With user permission, the AI agent can navigate applications using GUI comprehension technology, enabling users to observe each step as actions are performed rather than relying on hidden processes. Features such as One Sentence Ride Hailing allow users to arrange transportation through a simple natural language request, while Device Status Monitor can check connected smart home products. Shopping Buddy can search for suitable products within supported e commerce applications, including Lazada. Despite the expanded functionality, Tecno has stated that EllaClaw remains in the exploratory phase of development and continues to undergo internal testing. The company has not provided details regarding smartphone compatibility or the timing of a public beta release, but says additional information will be shared as development progresses.
