Tech Valley, a Google for Education Partner in Pakistan, has partnered with the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Karachi, under a Memorandum of Understanding to bring Google Career Certificates, AI-integrated learning, and industry-relevant digital skills into the academic journey of its students. The agreement extends Tech Valley’s expanding roster of university partnerships, which already spans institutions ranging from public universities across Sindh and Punjab’s Higher Education Department under its 100,000-certificate Year of Youth 2026 programme to earlier scholarship deals with BNU and smaller Sindh institutions like Aror University.

The collaboration will give IoBM students the opportunity to build practical, industry-relevant skills and earn globally recognized Google Career Certificates in Data Analytics, AI Essentials, Project Management, Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity, UX Design, and more. This course lineup closely matches the certification catalogue Tech Valley has rolled out under its other recent university agreements, suggesting the company has settled on a fairly consistent set of high-demand digital skills tracks that it now offers as a standard package across the many institutions it partners with, rather than customizing course offerings significantly from one university to the next.

By connecting education with the skills employers need, Tech Valley and IoBM framed the partnership as creating new pathways for students to improve employability, build future-ready capabilities, and prepare for the evolving digital economy. IoBM, established as one of Karachi’s prominent business schools, joins a growing list of private universities that have signed similar agreements with Tech Valley over the past two years, reflecting a broader pattern in which business and management-focused institutions are increasingly pairing their core curricula with technical and digital skills certifications to address employer demand for graduates who combine business acumen with practical technology competencies.

Tech Valley described the IoBM partnership as reflecting its broader commitment to transforming education with technology and equipping Pakistan’s youth with the skills needed for a digital future. The agreement adds to a pattern of near-continuous university MoU signings the company has pursued in recent weeks, following similarly structured partnerships with Bahria University Karachi’s Media Science Department and other institutions. Whether IoBM students take up the Google Career Certificate offerings at meaningful scale will likely depend on how effectively the university integrates the certification pathway into its existing business and management coursework, rather than treating it as a purely optional, standalone add-on for students to pursue independently.
