Pakistan’s leading OTT streaming platform, tapmad, is expanding its footprint in South Asia with a strategic partnership with Robi Axiata Limited, one of Bangladesh’s top telecommunications operators. Building on its success in Pakistan, tapmad aims to offer Bangladeshi audiences a premium digital entertainment experience, combining live sports and on-demand content with high-definition streaming across multiple devices. The collaboration allows Robi users to activate subscriptions easily through mobile balance or direct billing, ensuring a seamless connection between the operator’s network and tapmad’s advanced streaming technology.

Yassir Pasha, CEO of tapmad, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that Bangladesh offers a vibrant and enthusiastic audience eager for quality entertainment. The platform’s expansion into Bangladesh is intended to bring convenient, affordable, and high-quality streaming options to a growing digital market, extending tapmad’s regional growth momentum. By delivering international streaming standards tailored to local preferences, tapmad aims to create a user-centric experience that resonates with Bangladeshi viewers.

Robi Axiata’s Head of Marketing, Shawkat Quader Chowdhury, emphasized the operator’s commitment to digital innovation and customer satisfaction. He noted that the partnership with tapmad provides an opportunity to enrich the entertainment experience for Robi subscribers by offering uninterrupted access to a broad catalog of sports and entertainment content. Aly Rana, COO of tapmad, added that the collaboration allows the platform to engage a dynamic digital audience in Bangladesh while maintaining the same standards that have defined its success in Pakistan and other markets. The localized approach ensures that content aligns with the expectations and cultural preferences of local viewers, providing both global quality and regional relevance.

Arif Adito, tapmad’s Business Development Manager for Bangladesh, explained that the partnership strengthens the platform’s ability to reach new audiences while offering a high-quality, user-focused streaming experience. With nearly a decade of expertise in South Asia’s digital entertainment sector, tapmad has earned a reputation as a trusted OTT platform by consistently investing in technology, partnerships, and localized content. By leveraging Robi’s digital infrastructure, tapmad can now deliver smooth HD streaming and a comprehensive library of content to Bangladeshi consumers, further enhancing the accessibility and appeal of digital entertainment in the region.

Through this collaboration, tapmad continues to expand its influence in South Asia, providing viewers with a curated selection of sports and entertainment that balances local preferences with international quality standards. The partnership exemplifies how regional OTT platforms can work with established telecom operators to scale operations, improve service delivery, and strengthen their presence in new markets, ensuring that audiences receive a reliable and immersive streaming experience.
