Tamasha, JazzWorld’s homegrown digital streaming platform, has secured the digital streaming rights for the 20th Asian Games in Pakistan, giving sports fans across the country an additional platform to follow the competition starting September 19. The Games, scheduled to run from September 19 to October 4 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, will bring together athletes from 45 Asian nations competing across 41 sports and 460 medal events, with Pakistan looking to make an impact across several disciplines against some of the continent’s strongest competitors.
Pakistan will participate in hockey, boxing, wrestling, kabaddi, and athletics, among other disciplines, as its athletes prepare to compete on one of the region’s largest multi sport stages. The return of cricket to the Asian Games programme is expected to draw particular interest among Pakistani fans, with both men’s and women’s T20 competitions featuring in this edition of the Games. This development raises the possibility of a closely watched Pakistan-India final should both teams advance through the knockout stages, a matchup that would likely attract significant viewership given the historical rivalry between the two cricket playing nations.
