Super Star has launched the Shark Electric motorcycle in Pakistan, adding a more traditional 125-style electric bike to its two-wheeler lineup. Unlike many electric scooters currently entering the Pakistani market, the Shark Electric uses a conventional motorcycle layout, with its body shape, seating position, and 17-inch alloy wheels giving it a form closer to traditional petrol powered 70cc and 125cc motorcycles, a design choice that may appeal to riders looking to switch to electric power without moving to a scooter style platform.
The motorcycle is available in two battery options, both paired with the same 2,000W electric motor. Prices start at Rs. 290,000 for the 72V 30Ah version, offering a claimed range of 80 to 100 km, while the larger 72V 40Ah variant costs Rs. 325,000 and extends the claimed range to 100 to 120 km. Both versions use LiFePO4 batteries and share the same advertised maximum speed of up to 120 km/h, though the company noted actual performance may vary depending on rider weight, battery level, road conditions, and calibration.
Both variants come equipped with disc brakes at both ends, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a three year or 18,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. The Shark Electric also includes Economy and Sport riding modes, with Economy mode allowing riders to prioritize range and Sport mode intended for stronger performance, along with a reverse mode that can make low speed maneuvering easier in confined spaces and parking areas. A digital instrument panel displays battery charge, speed, and gear position, giving riders a clear overview of the motorcycle’s status during use. Super Star supplies the motorcycle with an 8A charger for both variants.
With prices ranging from Rs. 290,000 to Rs. 325,000, the Shark Electric enters a competitive segment of Pakistan’s electric two-wheeler market, with its main differentiators being its conventional motorcycle design, 2,000W motor, larger battery options, and 17-inch wheels. The 40Ah variant offers the longest claimed range at 100 to 120 km, while both versions carry the same advertised top speed. As with other electric two-wheelers entering the market, the Shark Electric’s real-world range and performance will ultimately depend on riding conditions, battery charge, rider weight, and other operating factors, while battery condition, replacement costs, spare parts availability, and after-sales support are likely to remain important considerations for buyers over the ownership period.
