The State Bank of Pakistan has launched a fully redesigned official website at sbp.org.pk from July 1, 2026, replacing a digital platform that had served as the central bank’s primary online presence for decades with a modern, faster, and more user-friendly interface built following extensive research and consultations with stakeholders.
The redesigned website has been developed to offer improved navigation, quicker access to key resources, and smart search functionality that allows users to find relevant information and services more efficiently. The platform serves a diverse user base spanning citizens, businesses, financial institutions, researchers, and journalists, all of whom rely on the central bank’s website as the authoritative source for monetary policy announcements, exchange rates, banking regulations, statistical publications, financial stability reports, inflation and economic data, payment system information, and official circulars. The reorganised structure presents these sections in a clearer and more accessible format while retaining access to older archived content, ensuring that the transition to the new interface does not disrupt users who rely on historical documentation.
The website also provides access to several digital services and portals that have grown in importance over recent years, including the Roshan Digital Account, foreign exchange regulations, complaint management, tenders, and official notifications. The SBP said the redesign strengthens its ability to communicate effectively with the public and supports the central bank’s broader vision of using technology to deliver efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused services, with better access to reliable financial information expected to support financial literacy, promote financial inclusion, and contribute to more informed decision-making across Pakistan’s financial system.
Stakeholders who need to reference the previous website interface can do so through a dedicated link on the homepage until July 15, 2026, after which the new platform will serve as the sole official digital presence of the State Bank of Pakistan. The launch marks the most significant overhaul of the central bank’s online infrastructure in decades, and aligns with the broader pattern of federal institutions modernising their digital presence as part of Pakistan’s ongoing public sector digital transformation agenda.
