The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has introduced a centralized digital Ticketing Hub to streamline investor queries, requests, and follow-up with government institutions. The platform provides investors with a single channel to submit requests and track their progress through different stages of the facilitation process, addressing a longstanding complaint among investors navigating Pakistan’s bureaucracy, where coordinating across multiple government departments has often meant repeating the same request to several different offices without a unified way to monitor overall progress. The Ticketing Hub also allows relevant cases to be monitored and followed up through a structured workflow, giving both investors and SIFC officials a shared reference point for where any given case currently stands.
The system is designed to improve coordination between SIFC and government departments handling investor-related matters, extending the council’s existing “whole-of-government” approach, which Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja has previously credited with streamlining decision-making and building investor confidence, into a formal digital case-management layer. Investors can also use the platform to stay updated on the status of their submitted requests, reducing the need for repeated manual follow-up calls or emails to individual departments that have historically been a source of friction in Pakistan’s investment facilitation process. This kind of centralized tracking mechanism gives SIFC a clearer, more auditable view of where bottlenecks are occurring across the various institutions it coordinates with.
The Ticketing Hub builds on SIFC’s broader investor-centric framework, which the council has described as a one-stop investment platform structured around five stages: Explore, Connect, Facilitate, Resolve, and Realize. That framework is designed to help investors identify opportunities, connect with relevant stakeholders, navigate administrative and regulatory processes, resolve bottlenecks, and advance viable projects toward implementation, spanning SIFC’s eight identified priority sectors including Information Technology, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, and Energy, Power and Petroleum. The new digital platform gives concrete, trackable structure to the “Resolve” stage of that framework specifically, where investors have previously had to rely on more informal channels to escalate stalled requests.
The initiative is part of SIFC’s broader efforts to use digital tools to improve investor facilitation, communication, and case management, adding to the council’s existing global investment outreach through dedicated desks and its structured sector-based approach to matching investors with opportunities. As SIFC continues positioning itself as the primary coordination point between domestic and international investors and Pakistan’s federal, provincial, and sectoral government institutions, the practical value of the Ticketing Hub will depend on how consistently different government departments actually engage with and resolve tickets routed through the platform, rather than the tool becoming simply another layer of digital bureaucracy without corresponding institutional follow-through.
