SOS Technical Training Institute (SOS TTI) and Shell Pakistan joined forces to launch a groundbreaking eco-friendly car named “Thunderer” at a ceremony held in Karachi. This project marks a significant shift in technical education, with students from SOS TTI taking the lead in design, construction, and assembly.

The “Thunderer” is a testament to a unique collaboration between a vocational institute and a multinational corporation. Traditionally, such projects were undertaken by engineering universities. This initiative highlights the valuable role vocational training plays in fostering practical skills among young adults.

The sleek, single-seater “Thunderer” boasts an aluminum chassis and a fuel-efficient 100 CC EFI engine, delivering an impressive 50 kilometers per liter.  The car prioritizes sustainability, operating on regular petrol with minimal emissions.

Commended for their dedication and expertise, the SOS TTI team, led by Mr. Muhammad Abdullah, played a pivotal role in the project’s success. Students like Danyal Riaz, Maima Faraz, Habib Ullah, and M. Faisal gained invaluable hands-on experience during the construction process.

The “Thunderer” is more than just a car; it sets a new standard for fuel efficiency and paves the way for future collaborations between corporations and vocational institutes. This project empowers young minds with technical skills and ignites a spirit of innovation for the future.
