Edutech Solutions, in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, is hosting a free financial literacy training session for small and medium enterprises in Hyderabad on May 23, 2026, under the SMEDA Financial Literacy Program for SMEs. The session, titled Bankability and How to Approach Banks for SMEs, is designed to equip business owners and entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on how to improve their financial standing and successfully engage banking institutions for business financing and growth support.

The session will be held at EduTech Hall, Abdullah Sports Tower, near Abdullah Mall in Qasimabad, Hyderabad, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The programme will cover how small and medium enterprise owners can assess and improve their bankability, understand what banks look for when evaluating financing applications, and develop a more strategic approach to engaging financial institutions in support of their business objectives. The training is part of SMEDA’s nationwide effort to address the persistent gap between Pakistan’s small and medium enterprise community and the formal financial sector, a gap that has long limited the growth potential of smaller businesses despite their central role in employment generation and economic activity across the country.

Access to formal bank financing remains one of the most frequently cited challenges for small and medium enterprises in Pakistan, with many business owners lacking the financial documentation, credit history, and banking relationships required to successfully apply for loans or credit facilities. Sessions like this one, delivered in regional cities such as Hyderabad rather than exclusively in major urban centres, reflect a recognition that financial literacy and bankability training needs to reach entrepreneurs where they operate rather than requiring them to travel to access capacity-building support. Participation is free of charge, and interested attendees can register by contacting the organisers via WhatsApp at 03147122020.
