PASHA member SmartBenefits has been recognised as Best InsurTech Company of the Year 2026 at the Pakistan Digital Awards, marking a significant milestone for the company’s efforts to simplify and digitise insurance and employee benefits management in Pakistan.

The recognition reflects SmartBenefits’ work in building a seamless mobile application and Human Resources portal experience that brings together insurance and employee benefits administration within a single accessible platform. The company has focused its product development on making processes that were traditionally paper-heavy and time-consuming, such as filing claims, checking coverage details, and managing enrollment, faster, more transparent, and more user-friendly for both employees and the organisations that provide their benefits. By integrating these functions into a unified digital experience, SmartBenefits has positioned itself at the intersection of insurance technology and human resources technology, two sectors that have historically operated with limited digital integration in the Pakistani market.

In its response to the recognition, SmartBenefits described the award as reflecting its broader mission to simplify and digitise insurance in Pakistan, noting that the integrated mobile app and HR portal experience has made insurance and employee benefits considerably easier to manage for end users. The company characterised the award as a significant milestone in its ongoing effort to transform the country’s insurance ecosystem, framing the recognition not as an endpoint but as validation of a longer-term digitisation strategy still in progress.

PASHA highlighted the SmartBenefits achievement as part of its ongoing series recognising member company accomplishments, reflecting the growing presence of financial technology and insurance technology startups within Pakistan’s broader technology industry. As more Pakistani companies move to digitise traditionally analogue and paperwork-intensive sectors such as insurance, recognition at platforms like the Pakistan Digital Awards serves both as industry validation and as a signal of the kind of technology-driven service models gaining traction with employers and consumers across the country.
