The Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, has announced the Sindh Youth Science and Tech Festival, which will take place in Karachi on 28, 29 and 30 November 2025. The upcoming event has been positioned as a platform to encourage young people across Sindh to develop new ideas in science and technology while gaining an opportunity to present their work in a public and competitive environment. The festival aims to support creativity, scientific thinking and problem solving among the youth, building a space where participants can exhibit projects that highlight innovation and real world application.
According to the Directorate of Youth Affairs, individuals between 15 and 29 years of age who are permanent residents of Sindh are eligible to participate. Organisers have outlined a submission based entry process in which applicants are required to send a written proposal explaining their idea or project related to science or technology. The proposals will undergo evaluation by the department, and the shortlisted candidates will be invited to present and showcase their work at the festival venue in Karachi. The initiative is expected to draw strong interest from students, young professionals, researchers and hobbyists who are exploring solutions in emerging fields and seeking opportunities for broader visibility.
Participants will be competing for cash awards, with the first prize set at Rs. 100,000, the second prize at Rs. 75,000 and the third prize at Rs. 50,000. The department has encouraged timely submissions, noting that the deadline for entries is 15 November 2025. Proposals can be submitted directly or sent by post to the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh.
