Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved the development and launch of an AI based job portal alongside a digital complaint resolution system aimed at improving employment access and government support for persons with disabilities across the province. The initiative represents a focused effort by the Sindh government to use technology to bridge long standing gaps between persons with disabilities and public sector employment mechanisms, while also creating a direct and structured communication channel with provincial authorities.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with Sukkur Institute of Business Administration and is designed to address both recruitment and grievance handling through digital platforms. The AI powered job portal will enable skill based job matching, allowing registered candidates to be connected with suitable employment opportunities based on their qualifications, experience, and capabilities. To ensure accessibility and wider reach, the platform will support Sindhi, Urdu, and English, making it usable for a broad segment of the population. A key feature of the system is the direct digital linkage it creates between the Sindh government and persons with disabilities, reducing reliance on intermediaries and manual processes that have historically limited access to timely opportunities.
In addition to employment facilitation, the initiative includes a digital complaint resolution system that will allow persons with disabilities to submit grievances, requests, and feedback directly to relevant government departments. This system is intended to improve transparency and responsiveness by providing a structured workflow for complaint handling and resolution. According to the approved timeline, the AI based job portal is expected to go live by May 2026, while the digital complaint resolution platform is scheduled for launch in July 2026. Together, these systems are expected to streamline interactions between citizens and the provincial administration while ensuring that concerns related to accessibility, employment, and service delivery are addressed more efficiently.
The initiative is closely aligned with the Sindh Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2018, which mandates a five percent employment quota for persons with disabilities across government departments. The law also calls for the creation of institutional support systems, the establishment of a central disability database, and the implementation of standardized disability certification mechanisms. By embedding these requirements into digital platforms, the Sindh government aims to strengthen compliance with the law while reducing inconsistencies in implementation across departments. The AI driven approach is also expected to support merit based recruitment by matching candidates to roles based on objective criteria rather than informal referrals or manual screening.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized that the initiative is intended to enhance employment prospects and promote social inclusion for persons with disabilities throughout Sindh. He noted that technology can play a critical role in removing structural barriers that limit participation in the workforce and access to public services. By digitizing recruitment processes and complaint handling, the government seeks to create a more inclusive administrative framework that recognizes the diverse needs of citizens with disabilities. The collaboration with Sukkur Institute of Business Administration is expected to ensure that the platforms are developed using sound technical expertise and aligned with best practices in digital governance.
The approval of these systems reflects a broader push under Digital Pakistan to modernize public service delivery through technology driven solutions. As the platforms move toward launch, they are expected to serve as a reference model for other provinces exploring digital tools to improve accessibility, transparency, and inclusion. By integrating AI based job matching with multilingual access and formal grievance redressal mechanisms, the Sindh government aims to create a sustainable digital ecosystem that supports long term employment and social participation for persons with disabilities across the province.
