Sherdils Triumph at the First Ever PTA Cricket League

PR: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) held the first ever inter-departmental cricket tournament titled ‘PTA Cricket League (PCL)’ at the Cricket Ground, F-9 Park, Islamabad. Highlight of the PCL was an exciting exhibition match between the Chairman XI and Members XI where the two teams comprising of the senior officers of PTA were led by the Chairman PTA, Dr. Syed Ismail Shah and the Authority Members Mr. Abdul Samad (Member Compliance & Enforcement) and Mr. Tariq Sultan (Member Finance) respectively.

PTA Announces Next-Gen Mobile Services Auction: May 16 2017

PCL showcased the sporting talent of the PTA employees in a friendly yet competitive environment. The tournament included seven teams that competed against each other to win the coveted championship. PTA Authority Members and large number of spectators from amongst PTA’s employees and their families enjoyed thrilling semifinals and final matches.

The final was played between the ‘Sherdils’ of Enforcement Division and ‘Warriors’ of Coordination Division. After a close match, ‘Sherdils’ won the tournament and lifted the PCL trophy. Mr. Tariq Sultan, Member (Finance), PTA conferred the Trophy and Medals to the Champions and runner up teams. Mr. Nadeem of the ‘Sherdils’ was awarded with the ‘Player of the Tournament’ and ‘Man of the Final match’ awards for his exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

PTA Authority congratulated the champions for winning the title and praised the efforts of the cricket management committee, particularly Mr. Kashif Ellahi Bhatti for the excellent arrangements during the tournament. PTA Authority also reaffirmed their commitment to support healthy sporting activities in the organization and urged the employees to continue such efforts.
