Shakeel Akhter Commends Salim Habib University Students for Innovative Tech Projects

Shakeel Akhter, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Indus Hospital, recently had the distinct honor of being invited to Salim Habib University for the evaluation of their computer science department’s final year projects. During this visit, Akhter expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to engage with some of the brightest young minds in the field of technology. He extended heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor of Salim Habib University, and Dean Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Ph.D., for their warm hospitality and for providing him with the chance to interact with the students.

Shakeel Akhter reflected on the remarkable creativity and dedication displayed by the students during their project presentations. He noted that the level of ingenuity in the final-year projects was truly impressive, showcasing not only technical expertise but also an in-depth understanding of real-world challenges. The students demonstrated a capacity to think critically and innovatively to address these issues, which Akhter believes is a direct result of the exceptional mentorship and guidance they had received at the university.

“The projects, I had the honor of evaluating showcased not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of real-world challenges and innovative solutions to address them. This speaks volumes about the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and practical learning.” 

He highlighted that this blend of academic knowledge and practical problem-solving speaks volumes about Salim Habib University’s commitment to excellence in both theoretical learning and hands-on experience.

Akhter, who is a seasoned technology leader, expressed his confidence that the students at Salim Habib University are well-equipped to make meaningful contributions to their respective fields. His positive outlook on the students’ future comes from witnessing firsthand the caliber of talent at the university. 

“I am confident these young technologist and bright minds will make meaningful contributions to their respective fields and leave a lasting impact.”

The evaluation session not only allowed Akhter to experience the technical prowess of the students but also highlighted the importance of institutions like Salim Habib University in shaping the future of Pakistan’s technology landscape.
