Seed Funding for a Pakistani trucking company has been secured in the amount of $600,000.

Trukkr, a trucker marketplace located in Pakistan, has received $600,000 in seed funding headed by Peter Findley, a General Partner at Anchorless, a New York-based early-stage venture capital firm focused on promoting the startup ecosystem.

According to Menabytes, other investment arms included Pakistan-focused Kinnow VC, Kargo Technologies founder and CEO Tiger Fang, and executives from Cue Health.

In addition to these investments, Trukkr has raised capital through debt financing.

Its goal is to help local businesses move their goods via its network of transporters, reshaping Pakistan’s logistics. In theory, the transportation marketplace is home to highly skilled carriers and truck drivers who offer market-competitive rates.

Trukkr claims to have handled over 20,000 truckload moves for a variety of companies in Pakistan since its launch, including local firms like Artistic Milliners, Ittehad Chemicals, and Master Group.

Trukkr’s co-founder, Sheryar Bawany, stated,

With an experienced operations team led by the founders, and a strong, comprehensive and localized tech platform built in house, we have completed more than 20,000 trips since we started operations in 2020, and the positive response from our customers has been overwhelming.

Trukkr wants to use the cash it has on hand to advance its technology and grow its operations in the foreseeable future, thanks to a strong investment roster.

Companies/entities can utilise the Trukkr marketplace’s built-in logistics management platform to manage their on-road fleet, clients, and carriers.

Customers who use the platform on a regular basis can use it for free.
