A major cabinet reshuffle has taken place within the ministry that saw to resignation of Asad Umar as the Finance Minister. An interesting update relevant to our industry is the the appointment of Fawad Chaudhry as the new Minister for Science and Technology.
Mr. Chaudhry was formerly the Minister of Information and Broadcasting. Fawad Chaudhry is a lawyer by profession and it is yet to see how he takes the Ministry of Science and Technology forward, as he has no prior experience of navigating the field of science.
