SBP Innovation Hub, an initiative of State Bank of Pakistan, is set to host another session under its Founder’s Series, focusing on Startup led Innovation for Pakistan’s Digital Economy. The upcoming discussion will feature Syed Azfar Hussain, Project Director of National Incubation Center Karachi, who will share insights on the evolving role of startups in shaping the country’s digital and financial landscape.

The session aims to explore how startup driven innovation is contributing to Pakistan’s digital transformation, particularly in areas such as fintech, platform based services, and emerging technologies. As Pakistan continues to expand its digital infrastructure and regulatory frameworks, the role of incubation centers and early stage ventures has become increasingly significant in fostering entrepreneurship, investment readiness, and scalable business models. Through this platform, SBP Innovation Hub seeks to connect regulators, founders, investors, and ecosystem enablers to encourage dialogue on sustainable innovation.

Syed Azfar Hussain is expected to discuss the experience of National Incubation Center Karachi in supporting technology startups, building partnerships, and facilitating access to capital and mentorship. The conversation will also highlight the importance of collaboration between public institutions and private sector players to accelerate digital adoption and strengthen Pakistan’s position in the regional innovation ecosystem. Participants will gain insights into practical challenges faced by startups as well as opportunities emerging from policy support and growing investor interest.

The event will take place on February 16, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will also offer online participation through a registration link available at: https://statebankpakistan.webex.com/weblink/register/r59846ce194cf19647ed993a723459e8c. Organized by the Digital Innovation and Settlements Department of State Bank of Pakistan, the Founder’s Series continues to serve as a knowledge sharing platform aimed at promoting inclusive growth, digital finance, and entrepreneurship across the country.
