Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 450 Midrange 14nm Chip:

Qualcomm has unveiled Snapdragon 450 for mid range and entry level phones. The new chipset will likely replace its predecessor Snapdragon 435. Qualcomm highlighted for major improvements in 450 over the previous generations. In new processor, Qualcomm has made obvious improvements in CPU and GPU speed. The chipset giant has revealed that Snapdragon 430 is 25 percent faster than 435. Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 450 Midrange 14nm Chip.

Snapdragon 450 offers four extra hours of battery life as compared to S435. The new processor is likely to handle more advance camera systems with support for either dual cameras at 13 megapixels each or a single camera with up to 21 megapixels. The new chipset features eight Cortex-A53 and it will enhance Adreno 506 GPU which will offer a 25% boost in gaming performance. The add on of the new chip is that it’s built on a 14nm process which is the first among 4 series. Qualcomm expects that power drawn while gaming will be reduced to 30 percent.

Snapdragon 450 will also have positive support for new camera features. It can record 1080p @ 60fps video and it also supports dual cameras up to 13MP+13MP. Qualcomm has also made some other improvements shown in table above. Now USB 3.0 will be supported and Wi-Fi is included too.
