Punjab University has partnered with Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, to digitize its fee payment system using Zindigi’s Raast Dynamic QR (DQR) platform. With this collaboration, the university became the first public sector institution in Pakistan to adopt the Raast DQR system, aiming to simplify fee transactions for students and administrative staff.

Through this initiative, around 49,000 students will be able to pay their fees digitally, removing the need for cash transactions and long queues. The integration of Zindigi’s secure and efficient payment solutions ensures that fee submissions can be completed quickly and conveniently, offering a modernized experience for both students and parents.

Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer at Zindigi, highlighted that the implementation of Raast Digital QR at Punjab University will transform how students make payments by making the process instant, secure, and fully digital. He emphasized that the move demonstrates Zindigi’s commitment to integrating digital financial solutions into daily institutional operations.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, said that digitizing the fee system underlines the university’s dedication to operational efficiency and modernization. He added that Raast QR payments will offer seamless and secure transactions while supporting Pakistan’s broader digital transformation efforts.

The signing ceremony included representatives from State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC) Lahore, Punjab University, and Zindigi. SBP-BSC was represented by Tariq Riaz, Chief Manager; Bilal Shafqat, Deputy Chief Manager; and Muhammad Hammad, Assistant Chief Manager. Punjab University attendees included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor; Tasneem Kamran, Treasurer; and Rao Muhammad Tahir Rafiq, Additional Treasurer. Zindigi’s delegation featured Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer; Mohsin Khan, Head of Retail Sales & Merchant Channel; and Hammad Raza, Regional Business Head Central.

Zindigi continues to expand its digital payment footprint across various sectors, offering solutions that enhance convenience and security. The adoption of Raast DQR at Punjab University reflects growing interest in digital finance solutions among educational institutions and contributes to the wider adoption of cashless transactions in Pakistan.
