The Punjab Government has taken a significant step towards digitalizing its services by launching an innovative e-auction system for vehicle number plates. This new platform allows citizens to register their vehicles and bid for their preferred number plates online through a dedicated mobile app and web portal.

The e-auction program is now open for registration and will remain active until December 31, 2024. Individuals can easily sign up and participate in the auction to secure their desired number plates.

Developed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the platform offers a user-friendly interface for both motorcycle and car number plate auctions. Users can conveniently register their vehicles, place bids, and track auction results directly through the app.

Faisal Yousaf, Chairman of PITB, highlighted the ease and convenience of the new system. He stated that the e-auction platform simplifies the registration process and allows individuals to participate in online bidding with ease. This initiative aims to improve the overall user experience and streamline the process of acquiring vehicle number plates.

The launch of this digital solution underscores the Punjab Government’s commitment to modernizing public services and providing citizens with efficient and accessible services. By embracing technology, the government aims to enhance transparency, reduce paperwork, and improve the overall experience for citizens.
