Punjab Government Appoints New PITB Chairman

The Punjab Government has appointed Mr. Azfar Mehmood as the new chairman for the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). After the demise of Dr Umar Saif, the founder of PITB, Dr Habeeb-ur-Rehman Gillani had taken charge of the board. 

Mr. Azfar Mehmood is an electrical and CS engineer by profession, and is also the founder of World Online (WOL). He is a graduate of Aitchison College Lahore and LUMS, and later on went to complete his higher education from MIT in the United States of America. Furthermore, he has also held the regional chair of MIT in Pakistan.
