PTCL Ranks 214 Amongst The Top Valued Telecoms Operator Brands In the World By Brand Finance

In need for an ongoing fast and reliable telecommunication connection, PTCL has stood out to be one of the power horses of this industry. PTCL serves as the largest broadband internet service provider in the country, undoubtedly has one of the biggest share in this endeavor and hence strive to improve their business as much as they can. In a recent international ranking, PTCL has been ranked as 214 among the 300 most valued telecom operator brands in the world.

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has seen great commercial success over the past number of years. Recently, they were recognized by Brand Finance as the fastest growing brand in Pakistan. According to the study by Brand Finance, the brand value of PTCL has increased by around 37.5%. This undoubtedly makes the brand as the fastest growing brand in the country. This was backed up by their report which recognized that the price tag of PTCL grew from $86 million to a staggering $119 million. This report not only highlights the success of PTCL as a brand, but also makes it the second telecom brand in Pakistan which is valued at over $100 million-the first being Mobilink.

PTCL have bee noted to make large investments in improving their current service and offering high-speed internet and telecommunication service. Their marketing team have played a large part in improving their brand due to their successful partnerships with the Pakistan Cricket Team and Islamabad United in the PSL have tremendously contributed to the promotion of PTCL. ,” Fariha Tahir Shah, head of corporate communication for PTCL, on her talk with Arab News said that “It is recognition of PTCL’s financial strength as well as its corporate social responsibilities that the company showed firm determination during the previous year”. She also highlighted PTCL’s intent to not only improve their service but also grow through their CSR activities.

With a focused intent on multiple endeavors which also includes a multitude of social responsibilities and improving their telephone exchanges, their revenue has been growing at an exponential rate their net profit last year peaked at estimated 8.4 billion rupees last year. It will be fascinating to see what accommodates PTCL begins to accumulate by the end of this year.
