PTCL Group, comprising PTCL and Ufone 4G, in collaboration with Huawei, has introduced an advanced 5G-ready connectivity solution at Sukh Chayn Residence, a premium residential complex in Islamabad. This deployment combines Huawei’s Digital Indoor System (DIS) Lampsite technology with high-speed Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) infrastructure, offering a new standard for smart living and reinforcing PTCL Group’s growing presence in the digital residential connectivity landscape.

This deployment is notable for introducing a fully digital indoor connectivity solution. Unlike traditional Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), which operate through passive signal distribution, the DIS infrastructure ensures 100% digital signal delivery through end-to-end active components. This results in stronger indoor coverage, minimal interference, and a consistent user experience, especially important in high-rise residential buildings. Importantly, the setup is integrated seamlessly into the design of the living space, maintaining its visual appeal while enabling robust wireless performance.

Asif Ahmed, Group Chief Business Solution Officer at PTCL and Ufone 4G, emphasized that the initiative is part of PTCL Group’s broader strategy to lead digital innovation in the B2B segment. He highlighted the trust placed by both enterprise and individual customers in PTCL’s services and underscored that this project reflects the Group’s future-focused vision for digital connectivity in Pakistan. According to him, the combination of DIS and FTTH enables residents to manage everyday tasks and work-from-home requirements efficiently, while also enhancing their overall lifestyle and contributing to sustainable technological progress.

Muhammad Saleh Azeem, CEO of Sukh Chayn Residence, noted that becoming Pakistan’s first 5G-ready residential complex is a significant milestone in the project’s journey. He expressed that this collaboration is aligned with the development’s goal of catering to the evolving expectations of residents, especially in terms of smart infrastructure and digital enablement. He also highlighted that the advanced connectivity offering is part of the complex’s forward-thinking approach, reinforcing its identity as a next-generation housing solution.

Representing Huawei, Michael Che, Managing Director of Carrier Business, said the launch of Huawei’s 5G-ready DIS in Pakistan through PTCL marks a major step in redefining mobile broadband in the residential segment. He stated that the technology will empower PTCL to serve as the main internet service provider for a growing number of users across the country, combining luxury living with dependable, high-speed broadband.

This project also extends PTCL Group’s existing track record of deploying FTTH solutions in collaboration with prominent businesses. By integrating high-speed fixed-line and advanced wireless solutions, the group continues to solidify its position as a preferred telecom partner for forward-looking real estate developments and residential communities in Pakistan.
