PTA has selected ten international firms to assist in the upcoming 5G spectrum auction. Initially, eleven companies expressed interest, but one was disqualified. The government aims to complete the auction by April 2025.

Their responsibilities include developing a pricing model for different spectrum bands, analyzing the impact of 5G on health and safety, and recommending policy changes to promote infrastructure investment and broadband expansion.

By following international best practices, the authority hopes to attract significant foreign investment and accelerate Pakistan’s digital transformation.
