PTA has published its Mobile Network Experience Benchmarking Report for the first quarter of 2026, produced in collaboration with Opensignal, covering mobile network performance across 15 cities in Pakistan. The report is now available on PTA’s official website and draws on data collected through Opensignal’s crowdsourcing platform, which captures quality of experience metrics from actual end users going about their daily lives rather than from controlled testing environments.

Opensignal’s methodology measures quality of experience throughout the day across a wide range of real-world conditions, including indoor and outdoor locations as well as both peak and off-peak usage hours. The data is gathered passively as users stream videos, make calls, and use applications on their devices, giving the report a level of practical accuracy that reflects what Pakistani mobile subscribers actually experience on their networks rather than what those networks deliver under ideal laboratory conditions.

The report evaluates performance across Pakistan’s major urban centres, providing city-level breakdowns that allow for granular comparisons between operators and reveal the significant variation in network quality that exists not only between cities but within them. The combination of peak and off-peak data, indoor and outdoor readings, and multi-application usage scenarios across 15 cities gives the report a breadth that makes it one of the more comprehensive independent assessments of Pakistan’s mobile network landscape published to date.

The full report can be accessed through PTA’s official website at https://www.pta.gov.pk/category/qos-survey-959959384-2023-05-30 , where detailed findings across all measured cities and operators are available for review by industry stakeholders, consumers, and researchers with an interest in Pakistan’s mobile connectivity standards.
