Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and Maqta Technologies, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the digitalization of international trade. The collaboration aims to introduce advanced digital solutions that enhance cross-border trade efficiency, improve regulatory compliance, and streamline logistics processes.

As the designated operator of the Pakistan Single Window System, PSW is responsible for developing and managing a unified digital platform that facilitates trade by allowing businesses to electronically submit import, export, and transit-related data. This initiative is designed to reduce inefficiencies, minimize paperwork, and lower transaction costs. On the other hand, Maqta Technologies specializes in integrated trade, transport, and logistics solutions, playing a key role in the digital transformation of global trade networks.

The partnership will leverage both organizations’ expertise to introduce value-added digital services, including AI-powered customs clearance, smart warehousing, enhanced risk management systems, port community platforms, trade finance solutions, and predictive analytics for trade optimization. The integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) is expected to further enhance transparency and security in cross-border trade operations.

According to an official press release, the collaboration aims to unlock commercial opportunities in digital trade facilitation and logistics, positioning Pakistan as a key player in the global digital trade ecosystem. Additionally, the initiative emphasizes sustainability by promoting paperless documentation and carbon-efficient logistics practices to reduce the environmental impact of trade activities.

Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri, CEO of Digital Cluster and Maqta Technologies Group – AD Ports Group, highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Pakistan Single Window underscores our commitment to transforming global trade through advanced digital solutions. By combining our expertise, we aim to maximize trade facilitation efforts in Pakistan and beyond, driving efficiency and innovation.”

Syed Aftab Haider, CEO of Pakistan Single Window, echoed this sentiment, stating, “This partnership represents a major step forward in our mission to enhance trade facilitation by collaborating with global technology leaders. Maqta Technologies brings extensive experience in digital trade solutions, and together, we are well-positioned to drive significant advancements in trade efficiency and regulatory compliance.”

Maqta Technologies has been recognized by the World Customs Organization (WCO) for its innovative contributions to digital trade, having processed approximately 200 million transactions globally. The company’s extensive data sets have contributed to the development of cutting-edge trade technologies, enabling smarter and faster logistics solutions.

Pakistan’s role as a key maritime hub in AD Ports Group’s strategic expansion into Central Asia adds further significance to this partnership. As the gateway to the “Middle Corridor” connecting Asia and Europe, Pakistan plays a crucial role in regional trade, with AD Ports Group actively investing in logistics infrastructure across Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The Pakistan Single Window initiative is a landmark effort aimed at improving Pakistan’s trade competitiveness by reducing the time and cost of cross-border transactions. By digitizing and integrating trade procedures into a single platform, PSW is simplifying trade processes while strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global economy. The partnership with Maqta Technologies signals a new era of digital collaboration, reinforcing Pakistan’s ambition to lead in trade digitalization and innovation.
