Prime Minister’s Youth Programme has rolled out a new initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s digital workforce through global IT certification reimbursements. The Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT), in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), is offering up to PKR 70,000 reimbursement for international certifications in high-demand technology domains. The program is specifically designed for IT graduates and professionals, enabling them to acquire globally recognized skills that will enhance their employability and competitiveness in the global digital economy.

The reimbursement program focuses on critical areas including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. By supporting certification costs, the government seeks to address the skill gaps in Pakistan’s IT sector and prepare professionals to meet the requirements of international clients and employers. With technology adoption accelerating worldwide, certifications from leading organizations are becoming a benchmark for capability, and this initiative gives local talent the opportunity to bridge that gap without bearing the entire financial burden.

For Pakistan, the program represents more than financial assistance—it is a strategic investment in human capital. The country’s IT industry is already on a growth trajectory, with software exports and technology-enabled services contributing significantly to the national economy. However, to expand its footprint in the global IT services market, Pakistan must continuously upskill its workforce. By aligning with global certification standards, Pakistani professionals can not only improve their personal career prospects but also bring international recognition to the country’s growing technology ecosystem.

The certification reimbursement program is part of the government’s broader agenda to digitize Pakistan and foster innovation. By equipping young professionals with specialized knowledge, it aims to create a pipeline of talent ready to contribute to the digital economy, both locally and internationally. Those interested in applying for the reimbursement can register through the official portal at skills.techdestination.com, where details on eligibility, certification coverage, and application processes are available. With this initiative, Pakistan positions itself as a strong contender in the global IT services landscape, ensuring that its youth and professionals are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the digital future.
