PITB & Kazan Sign MoU to Expand Technology-Education Cooperation. The Republic of Tatarstan’s State Autonomous Institution IT-Park, Kazan, Pakistan’s Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s Center for Entrepreneurship PlanX and Information Technology University (ITU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement has been signed in order to analyze the probability of the joint startups, exchange program of startups and mentors and innovations development process in Russian Federation and Pakistan.

The MoU also emulates the mutual consent of both parties to promote and encourage the development of technologies.

President Republic of Tatarstan H.E Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of ICT of Tatarstan, Mr. Azat Mubarakshin, CEO of IT Park, Kazan Mr. Anton Grachev, members of visiting delegation and the Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and founding Vice Chancellor of ITU Dr. Umar Saif were also there at the occasion.

Mr. Anton Grahev Director IT Park, Kazan and Ms. Hafsa Shorish Director PlanX signed the MoU on behalf of the respective entities. This Memorandum of Understanding is subject to a periodical evaluation by representatives of both parties annually.

Dr. Umar Saif also briefed the distinguished guests regarding eLearn, eVaccs, Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program and other such initiatives undertaken by PITB.

President Republic of Tatarstan H.E Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov also said that,

“Pakistan being ahead in IT could benefit Tatarstan through Pakistan’s experience and exchange of IT experts, students and the replica of the projects. Pakistan could help Tatarstan to establish Islamic research center for education and Islamic banking.

Basically, the agreement includes cooperation in Information sharing and technology collaboration via technology transfer, investment, bilateral contacts and partnership development between startups and IT companies. Important areas to be covered under the MoU includes development of educational and acceleration programs, student exchange partnership, and development and implementation of specific events.

Kazan IT Park is a technology park that supports new companies at the early stage of development. It also provides opportunities for the creation and development of IT companies in the Russian Federation.
