Punjab Information Technology Board has joined hands with Insight Skills Development Center Mian Channu to establish an e Rozgaar 2.0 Center aimed at equipping youth with in-demand digital skills and providing avenues for freelancing and entrepreneurship. The memorandum of understanding was signed by PITB DG e Governance Sajid Latif and CEO of Insight Skills Development Center Amir Hafeez. Also present were PITB Director Skills Development Wing Ahmad Islam Syan, Managing Director of Insight Skills Development Center Muhammad Shoaib, and other team representatives. The partnership reflects PITB’s ongoing commitment to expand digital skills training across the province while fostering collaborations with both public and private educational institutions.

e Rozgaar 2.0 is designed to address the growing demand for digital professionals capable of operating in modern work environments. Through this initiative, youth will have access to comprehensive training programs covering areas such as software development, graphic design, digital marketing, web development, and other freelance-ready skills. Officials highlighted that the program not only focuses on skill development but also encourages the youth to engage in freelancing and entrepreneurial ventures, offering opportunities to generate income while contributing to the digital economy. The collaboration with Insight Skills Development Center ensures that training is accessible in Mian Channu, supporting the broader goal of regional inclusion and skill decentralization.

PITB representatives emphasized that partnerships with local training centers are essential for expanding the reach of e Rozgaar 2.0, enabling youth from smaller cities and towns to benefit from structured learning and mentoring opportunities. The initiative also provides guidance on career pathways, online freelancing platforms, and practical project work that prepares participants for professional engagements in domestic and international markets. Insight Skills Development Center team members noted that the program integrates hands-on training with industry aligned modules to help participants gain competitive skills relevant to current market demands.

Through the establishment of e Rozgaar 2.0 in Mian Channu, PITB aims to strengthen the digital ecosystem by producing a workforce equipped with modern technological expertise and freelancing capabilities. The program aligns with national objectives to enhance youth employability and leverage digital platforms for economic growth. Both organizations expressed commitment to ongoing monitoring and support of enrolled participants, ensuring that the program delivers tangible outcomes in terms of skill development, freelance engagements, and increased opportunities for youth to contribute to Pakistan’s digital economy.
