In Pakistan, PEACE Cable International Network Co., Ltd. (PEACE Cable) and Cyber Internet Services (Cybernet), the top supplier of Internet and data communication network services, have finished building and laying the PEACE underwater cable infrastructure.
The final splicing of the Pakistan-Egypt PEACE stretch has enabled connection from Karachi, Pakistan, to Marseille, France, making it ready for service.
The 5,800 km long Pakistan-Egypt stretch of PEACE runs from Karachi, Pakistan, to Zafarana, Egypt. Karachi and Zafarana’s landings were finished in March and December of 2021, respectively.

Because of its extensive fibre optic network, Cybernet will have easier access and more commercial prospects in the Asian area.
Pakistan will have access to high-speed, large-volume internet bandwidth with express connectivity to France thanks to the installation of the PEACE submarine cable system.
This cable will cut the latency between Pakistan and France to 92 milliseconds thanks to its ultra-low latency architecture. This would improve the response speed of Internet-based apps and the experience of Pakistani consumers while adding much-needed redundancy to Pakistan’s Internet infrastructure.
With its broad fibre optic network, Cybernet will be simpler to reach and have more business opportunities in the Asian region.

In the meanwhile, PEACE is now building the Singapore extension, which will increase the value of the PEACE cable system’s network resources and expand the coverage of the PEACE undersea cable system to Southeast Asia, linking Singapore, that region, and Southeast Asia to Europe.
“The segment from Pakistan to France has now been built well, which is really a thrilling milestone,” Sun Xiaohua, COO of PEACE Cable, said. “With Cybernet, we will bring much-needed redundancy to Pakistan’s Internet backbone and provide users with high-speed traffic to meet the rapidly growing demand for internet access in different types of digital scenarios in Pakistan.”
“PEACE is the first international undersea cable starting from Pakistan and reaching Europe, Africa, and Singapore,” said Shoaib Qureshi, country manager of PEACE Cable in Pakistan.
We are really eager to increase connection in this area as the underwater chapter for the Pakistan market begins anew.
“We have finished a key segment of the PEACE submarine cable system, from Pakistan to France,” said Maroof Ali Shahani, COO of Cybernet. “This will have a tremendous impact on the digital landscape in Pakistan.”
He further stated, “Providing an enabling environment for businesses and consumers is at the heart of what we do. The cable system will help the nation stay connected with the world in an ever-changing technological landscape.”
