PayFast, a leading State Bank of Pakistan-licensed payment service provider, has become the first fintech in Pakistan to integrate with Google Pay. This partnership marks a major milestone for the country’s digital payments ecosystem, allowing online shoppers to use Google Pay for seamless and secure transactions on eCommerce platforms powered by PayFast.

With this collaboration, PayFast merchants can now offer their customers an improved checkout experience, reducing the need for manual card entry and ensuring quicker transactions. Google Pay enables users to securely store their card details and make fast payments with a single tap. The integration with Google Wallet further enhances this functionality, providing a centralized platform for managing digital transactions, linking bank accounts or cards, and paying bills directly from smartphones.

The partnership between PayFast and Google Pay is expected to significantly impact Pakistan’s digital economy by driving financial inclusion and making cashless transactions more accessible. Adnan Ali, CEO of PayFast, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that the integration with Google Pay aligns with the company’s mission of simplifying digital payments. He highlighted that this development would make online shopping faster, safer, and more convenient for both merchants and consumers.

Arshad Raza, Chairman of Premier Systems, also expressed enthusiasm about the launch, noting that Google Pay’s inclusion in Pakistan’s payment landscape would usher in a new era of secure and efficient digital transactions. He reiterated the commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions that cater to the evolving needs of businesses and consumers.

Merchants interested in enabling Google Pay on their PayFast accounts can easily integrate the feature into their existing payment setup. This seamless integration is designed to help businesses offer their customers a frictionless and reliable payment method without any major changes to their current systems.

PayFast, known for its extensive presence in Pakistan’s eCommerce sector, currently serves over 7,000 businesses. With this latest integration, the company is reinforcing its position as a leader in digital payments while contributing to the broader goal of financial inclusion. By enabling Google Pay, PayFast is not only enhancing user convenience but also supporting Pakistan’s transition toward a more digitized financial landscape.

As digital payments continue to gain traction in the country, innovations like these are crucial in shaping the future of eCommerce and online transactions. The introduction of Google Pay through PayFast is expected to accelerate adoption among consumers and merchants alike, paving the way for a more seamless, secure, and cashless economy.
