PASHA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar, formalising a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing digital and high-tech skills development and deepening industry-academia linkages in Pakistan’s technology sector. The MoU was signed on April 29, 2026, by Ali Hasani, Secretary General of PASHA, and Usman Ghani, Director of the Institute of Management Sciences, in the presence of Syeda Safa H., Skills Development Associate at PASHA, and representatives from IMSciences.

The partnership is anchored around a shared focus on industry-relevant training and the development of talent that is prepared for the demands of Pakistan’s evolving technology market. A key component of the collaboration is the launch of the Center of Excellence in Digital and Hi-Tech Skills at IMSciences, established under Team Europe’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector Support Programme with the support of the British Council. The Centre is designed to serve as a hub for practical, employer-aligned technology education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bringing structured digital skills training to one of Pakistan’s major academic institutions outside the traditional Karachi-Lahore-Islamabad corridor.

For PASHA, the agreement with IMSciences continues its broader effort to build meaningful bridges between the technology industry and academic institutions across Pakistan, ensuring that graduates entering the workforce are equipped with skills that are directly applicable to the needs of employers in the technology sector. For IMSciences, the partnership and the associated Center of Excellence position the institution as a more active participant in Pakistan’s technology skills ecosystem, backed by international support through the British Council and the Team Europe development framework. Together, the two organisations are working toward a model of collaboration that moves beyond ceremonial engagement and translates into tangible curriculum development, training programmes, and employer connections for students in Peshawar and the wider region.
