In a move to strengthen Pakistan’s IT and IT-Enabled Services (ITeS) sector, P@SHA’s Chairman, Sajjad Syed, and the recently formed CEC Members held a productive meeting with the newly appointed CEO of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Mr. Abu Bakar.

The primary focus of the meeting was to devise strategies that would not only accelerate the growth of the industry but also unlock new avenues to expand Pakistan’s IT export potential. By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing between the two organizations, the aim is to position Pakistan as a global IT hub.

Mr. Abu Bakar, CEO of PSEB, emphasized the organization’s commitment to driving Pakistan’s IT industry forward by promoting IT exports, nurturing startups, and fostering global partnerships. PSEB aims to help Pakistani IT companies expand their reach and capabilities on the global stage, backed by strong government support, competitive tax incentives, and an immense talent pool.

With a population of 240 million, over 60% of which is under the age of 30, Pakistan offers immense potential for businesses aiming to scale and innovate.

This meeting underscores the commitment of both P@SHA and PSEB to drive digital transformation and innovation in Pakistan. By working together, they can create a more favorable environment for IT businesses, attract foreign investment, and generate substantial economic benefits for the country.
