Destination Cloud: P@SHA Partners With Microsoft Cloud Society

Cloud is something that is rapidly making its way in to the corporate and the overall tech industry in general. Organizations in Pakistan are also adopting cloud, and there are many initiatives that are also working towards cloud enabled platforms.

Therefore, in order to educate the masses on what cloud is, what can be done with cloud and so much more than just the basics, Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA) has partnered with Microsoft Cloud Society and is introducing an all-new universe of cloud, with specialized courses and certifications.

These courses are for everyone whether cloud savvy or just starting out, the courses are all about how Microsoft’s cloud platform can help drive digital transformation within your organization. Furthermore, one will also get access to expert webinars, interact with cloud peers, and expand their network map that will enable you to empower your customers, while you optimize your business for growth and success.

On offer are learning routes that one can choose to start their cloud journey. The courses are: Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, Migrating Workloads to Azure, Data Science Essentials, DevOps for developers – Getting started, Artificial Intelligence.

Microsoft Pakistan, in collaboration with P@SHA organized an event Destination Cloud event that will connect the industry with experts and have like-minded cloud enthusiasts in the region meet and network, in order to get acquainted with insights on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, opportunities for start-ups and success stories. The event took place on 10th May 2018 at the Night Hotel, Lahore.

The event was opened by Abid Zaidi – Country General Manager – Microsoft Pakistan who delivered the keynote, followed by a keynote address by General Secretary P@SHA, Shehryar Hyderi.
Women in AI: Chrystèle Dumont – Marketing & Operations Director – Microsoft NEPA took the lead on the session Women in Artificial Intelligence, followed by (Sr. Technical Evangelist) Hassan Raza’s session on Digital Transformation with AI and Data Science.
The second half of the event included one session on Improving Developers Productivity, MVP Muhammad Bilal Amjad , CEO of Instacare & CEO of Attrayants Design. These were followed by various industry success stories including those of: Netsol Technologies, Broadpeak Technologies, Bramerz and Cricingif.
The event concluded with an MoU signing ceremony between P@SHA and Microsoft and followed by a networking lunch with all attendees. The signing ceremony took place between the MS Country Manager and P@SHA General Secretary. More on the event and the partnership is available on the Microsoft Cloud Society website.
