Pakistan IT Industry Association PASHA is seeking an experienced and senior professional for the position of Secretary General at its Islamabad office, as the association looks to strengthen its executive leadership and deepen its engagement across Pakistan’s information technology and IT-enabled services ecosystem. The role carries broad institutional responsibility and is central to PASHA’s functioning as the country’s leading representative body for the technology industry.

The Secretary General will be responsible for a wide range of functions spanning operations, policy, government relations, and strategic communications. On the operational side, the role involves overseeing all secretariat functions including correspondence, documentation, record-keeping, meeting coordination, and the execution of decisions taken by the Central Executive Committee and General Body, ensuring smooth organisational functioning throughout. In the area of policy advocacy and strategic development, the Secretary General will be expected to lead policy advocacy for Pakistan’s information technology and IT-enabled services sector, support the development of standard operating procedures and governance frameworks, and coordinate research and data insights to guide strategic decision-making at the association level.

The position also requires the individual to act as PASHA’s primary liaison with government bodies and regulators, representing the association in official engagements and building strong relationships with industry stakeholders, international organisations, and media. Financial and compliance oversight, people and office management, event and membership services, as well as providing executive and strategic support to the Chairman and Central Executive Committee in high-level meetings and national and international forums, all form part of the scope of this senior role.

In terms of eligibility, PASHA is seeking candidates with a minimum of 18 years of education, with a master’s degree preferred, and at least 10 years of senior leadership experience. Experience in policy, governance, or trade body environments is preferred, and a strong understanding of the information technology and IT-enabled services sector is required. Knowledge of compliance and the broader corporate environment is also expected. Salary will be offered based on experience and qualifications, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2026. Interested candidates can send their resume and cover letter to careers@pasha.org.pk, and are encouraged to visit the official PASHA website at www.pasha.org.pk for the full job description including detailed skill requirements.
