PASHA facilitated a virtual Business-to-Business Networking Session on May 15, 2026 between its member companies and technology firms from Russia, continuing its series of international engagement initiatives aimed at expanding the global footprint of Pakistan’s technology sector and opening new avenues for cross-border commercial collaboration. The session brought together representatives from both sides for structured networking and open dialogue, with the format designed to move beyond formal introductions and into substantive conversations about where the two countries’ technology ecosystems can genuinely complement each other.

The session featured interactive discussions spanning industry perspectives on the current state of Pakistan and Russia’s respective technology sectors, evolving trends in areas such as artificial intelligence, software development, and digital services, and concrete opportunities for strategic partnerships that both Pakistani and Russian companies could explore in the near term. The format allowed participants to engage directly with potential counterparts from a market that Pakistan’s technology industry has not historically prioritised, but which presents meaningful opportunities given Russia’s scale, its growing domestic technology ecosystem, and the current geopolitical environment that is prompting Russian companies to diversify their international partnerships beyond traditional Western markets.

PASHA has been actively expanding its facilitation of international business connections for its member companies, having previously hosted similar sessions with delegations from multiple regions as part of its mandate to strengthen global industry engagement. The organisation’s role in these sessions is not limited to logistics but includes preparing the ground for productive dialogue by ensuring that participating companies on both sides have relevant context about their counterparts before the conversation begins. PASHA reiterated its commitment to providing platforms that enable Pakistan’s technology sector to build the international relationships and market presence required to support the country’s broader ambition of significantly growing its information technology exports in the years ahead.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
