Ookla is a free website service that offers a global examination of internet performance and speed. The majority of us are familiar with the widely used internet speed testing website Speedtest.
The most recent Speedtest Global Index for June 2022, released by Ookla, contains some intriguing information concerning the internet in Pakistan. In June, our nation’s mobile internet speed topped that of India. Pakistan has an average mobile internet download speed of 14.64 Mbps and an upload speed of 9.38 Mbps.
Out of 132 nations, Pakistan came in at position 116, while India came in at number 118 and had an average download speed of 14 Mbps. 3.63 Mbps was the upload speed in India, which was far slower. In addition to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, all of which were placed much lower than our nation, Pakistan was also in front of them.
The bad news, however, is that Pakistan slipped three positions last month and was ranked downwards in terms of fixed broadband speed. Pakistan ranked 150th in terms of average download speed for fixed broadband internet with a 9.82 Mbps average. With an average download speed of 48.11 Mbps, India came in much higher than the other countries.
