Doha, Qatar – Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, Director General of Pakistan’s National CERT, participated as a distinguished panelist at the launch event of Qatar’s National Cyber Incident Framework. Hosted by the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA) of Qatar, the event brought together leading cybersecurity experts from across the region to discuss strategies for strengthening national cyber resilience.
The high-level panel discussion, titled “The Significance of CSERT/CERT in Collaborative National Cybersecurity Incident Management,” featured cybersecurity leaders from Oman, Pakistan, NCSA, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB), and the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST). Dr. Abbas’s participation underscored Pakistan’s growing role in the global cybersecurity landscape and highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing emerging cyber threats.
During the discussion, Dr. Abbas emphasized the evolving role of sectoral CERTs and corporate CSIRTs (Computer Security Incident Response Teams) in bolstering national cybersecurity.
