Pakistan’s startup ecosystem has a major opportunity to gain international exposure as Ignite opens applications for GITEX Africa 2025, scheduled to take place in Morocco from April 14-16, 2025. Pakistani startups looking to expand their reach into the African tech industry can now apply to be part of this prestigious event, which offers unparalleled networking, investment, and collaboration opportunities.

GITEX Africa is one of the largest technology exhibitions on the continent, attracting industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs from across the globe. Startups participating in the event will not only showcase their products and services but also engage in workshops, networking sessions, and one-on-one meetings with potential business partners. One of the key attractions of the event is the GITEX Africa Supernova Challenge, a premier startup pitch competition featuring a total prize pool of $100,000 across six categories: Cybersecurity, AI & Digital Cities, Fintech & Blockchain, HealthTech, Sustainability & Agritech, and the Creative Economy. This competition provides startups with the chance to gain recognition, secure funding, and build credibility on a global stage.

Ignite-sponsored startups will receive a range of benefits, including a dedicated pod at the event to exhibit their products, access to exclusive networking events and workshops, matchmaking opportunities with investors and potential collaborators, and exposure to a global audience. Startups interested in participating must be registered in Pakistan and should be less than five years old. Those that have previously received funding from Ignite for international travel are not eligible to apply again. However, startups willing to self-fund their travel expenses may still be provided with exhibition space, subject to availability.

The sponsorship categories available for startups include a basic startup pod with essential facilities such as WiFi, power, and seating, as well as a full sponsorship package covering the startup pod along with boarding and lodging. Applications for participation in GITEX Africa 2025 are open until March 24, 2025, and only shortlisted startups will be provided sponsorships.

For terms, conditions, and application forms, startups can visit www.ignite.org.pk/gitexafrica25. This initiative provides Pakistani entrepreneurs with a valuable platform to showcase their innovations, attract investors, and explore business opportunities in Africa’s rapidly growing tech industry.
