Pakistan has secured the opportunity to host the ASOCIO Digital Summit in November 2026, marking a significant milestone for the country’s technology sector and global presence. The announcement was highlighted by Sajjad Syed, P@SHA Chairman, with support from Ali Hasani, Secretary General, and Zain Tariq, Manager Industry Engagement at the P@SHA Secretariat. The achievement reflects coordinated efforts from industry stakeholders, the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, and the Special Investment Facilitation Council to bring this major international technology event to the country.

The summit will bring together technology leaders, policymakers, and industry representatives from 24 ASOCIO member countries, including Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia, and New Zealand. Delegates are expected to share insights on digital transformation, foster collaborations, and explore opportunities to advance innovation across the Asia-Oceania region. Hosting the summit provides Pakistan with a platform to demonstrate its growing ICT capabilities, attract foreign investment, and highlight the country’s role as a regional hub for technology development.

Officials emphasized that the event will also create opportunities for local technology companies to engage with international peers, exchange knowledge, and showcase innovative products and services. It will offer a forum for discussions on trends such as digital infrastructure, smart cities, fintech solutions, and emerging technologies, allowing Pakistan’s tech ecosystem to strengthen its global ties and visibility. P@SHA leadership highlighted that hosting ASOCIO aligns with ongoing initiatives to promote digital literacy, enhance industry standards, and support the growth of startups and SMEs within the country.

The announcement is being celebrated as a proud moment for Pakistan’s ICT industry, reflecting both recognition of past achievements and confidence in the nation’s capacity to host a high-profile international technology event. With preparatory work already underway, the summit promises to offer knowledge-sharing sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative forums that will benefit participants from across the region. The 2026 ASOCIO Digital Summit is expected to further establish Pakistan as a key player in Asia-Oceania’s digital economy while fostering partnerships and advancing the adoption of technology-driven solutions in the country.
